The High School Sweetheart Cover Reveal!

Hello everyone!

It's cover reveal day for The High School Sweetheart! I love the cover for this book, which I actually made myself.

This is the first book in the Bluecastle series. All of the books will take place (at least in part) in the small town of Bluecastle. The High School Sweetheart is about Winnie and Westley, high school sweethearts (obviously, lol) who are getting a second chance at romance.

Without further adieu... commence the cover reveal!

Author: Jessica L. Tate
Genre: Sweet Contemporary Romance
Trope: Second Chance Romance
Release Date: June 21st 2022

Blurb:

The Bluecastle Inn is opening in a few weeks. There’s a long list of tasks I need to accomplish before opening day. I don’t need any distractions—I have to focus on making the inn a success.

Guess who happens to show up out of the blue? Westley Powell: my high school sweetheart and the man who left me four years ago, not to mention the last person I want to see right now.

Since my father decided to hire him to help me get the inn ready, I have to see him practically every day. His return is stirring up all sorts of emotions, for both him and me. The two of us clearly haven’t gotten over each other, but can I trust him to stay this time?

Sign Ups for The High School Sweetheart Cover Reveal, Release Blitz, and ARCs

Hello everyone!

I'm super excited to announce the sign-ups for my upcoming release, The High School Sweetheart. This book has been a long time coming. I actually wrote it in 2019 and it took me until this year to actually buckle down and do some intense revisions. I finally finished them recently and the book is about to be in my editor's hands.

In the meantime, I would like to reach out to all of you for help in spreading the word about the release of my first fiction book since 2014. I'm looking for people to share the cover reveal, post during the release blitz, and read and review the ARC by the end of the release month. The cover reveal will be happening on May 20th and release day is on June 21st.

I will email information for the cover reveal between 3-5 days prior to May 20th, for the release blitz between 5-7 days before June 21st, and ARCs will be sent as soon as they are available (at least 3 weeks before release day).

Please fill out the form in the link below this paragraph if you're interested in sharing The High School Sweetheart!

Now You Can See Gets a Brand New Cover

Hello everyone!

I'm so happy to announce during the last week of Poetry Month that Now You Can See has a brand new cover. I put it off for far too long because I wanted to actually draw something for my covers. Ultimately I decided that I didn't want to wait around to get a drawing tablet and looked for one.

Here's what the original cover looked like:

And here's the new cover:

I'm actually quite pleased with how it turned out. It has the right feel to it that I wanted to create.

Something I want to do in the near future is to publish more of my poetry, but I need to get my old laptop back up and running. I had 5 books planned out, including Now You Can See, but I can't remember which poems belong to which collection. I've also been writing poems off and on over the last few years that aren't included with those. Plus, I found my original poetry notebook where I would write everything on my mind out in a solid paragraph that I would turn into actual poems later. There are quite a few that I never made into poems that could very easily be created now.

Once I have my mud together, I'll definitely let you know when more poetry is coming!

Not Until Tonight Cover Reveal!

It's here, it's here, it's here!!!

FINALLY.

Welcome to the cover reveal for Not Until Tonight (a This Night novella)!

The wonderful, amazing, awesome, lovely, and beautiful Marie Landry has created my second book cover and I couldn't be more happy. <3 So, without further adieu..... here it is!

Haley has spent the last year going to the bar across the street from her apartment every day. It's the only thing that winds her down at the end of a long day at work. She gets to have a drink and talk to the gorgeous bartender, Skylar. Her little crush on him is starting to drive her crazy. She wants to take their friendship to the next level but she doesn't want to compromise what they already have.

When Skylar asks Haley to pretend to be his girlfriend for one night, she doesn't hesitate to say yes. This is her chance to finally experience what it could be like, even if it's just for one night. But pretending becomes difficult when their real feelings surface and the pull is too strong to resist. And neither one of them prepared for that.

At the end of the night, will they be willing to turn a fake relationship into a real one?
Release date: May 26th 2014

Cover Reveal For My Debut Novel If Only We!

Welcome my lovely followers to the cover reveal for my debut novel, If Only We! I am so excited to present this to you. The wonderful Marie Landry did an absolutely amazing job at making this cover so gorgeously perfect.

Sooo...

Without further adieu, I am pleased to present the cover for If Only We!

~*~

They say all it takes is one wrong move and you lose the game. One false step and you’re trapped. One slip-up in your choice of words and you ruin a friendship forever. That is what they say. They say I lost.

I do not believe them.

At the end of the summer after graduation, Adrienne wonders what happened to cause her life to be in ruins. She isn’t getting along with her mom, her stepsister isn’t talking to her, and, to top it off, the boy she’s been in love with doesn’t want anything to do with her. She believes the turning point was a choice she made at graduation. When she wakes up the next day, she has been transported back three months to that moment, the one where everything started to fall apart.

Adrienne realizes she has been given a second chance--and this time she doesn’t want to mess anything up. Reliving the entire summer, though, turns out to be a lot harder than she thought. As the same days and weeks go by, she starts to see how simple decisions can make a huge impact on the world around her. Despite knowing some of what lies ahead, there are some things she didn’t anticipate. She thought she knew what mistake led her to where she ended up the first time. She was wrong.

And by the time summer is over, she discovers what was really at stake.
