Long time no see...or post... Really?

So, I have somehow managed to spend more than 6 months not posting on this blog. The last post on here was on May 26th when I published Not Until Tonight. That's just ridiculous!

Not only that, but looking at the blog design made me want to punch my computer screen. So, I sat here for half an hour and updated the colors and fonts. Then I went into my tabs and organized all of that mess.

Doesn't it look A LOT better now? I think so.

ANYWAYS... back on point!

During those 6 months off, I was working at a job that sucked the joy from my life. I found it difficult to focus my attention and energies on writing the second book in the This Night series, All This Time. Then, in the middle of last month, I decided I had enough of the stressful job and put in my two weeks notice. I spent a week and a half without a job and managed to de-stress myself fairly well. I'm now working part-time in a different field and it feels good. It's like my life is finally heading down the right path again.

So, in the coming months, I'm going to be putting forth the effort to finish writing All This Time and publish hopefully this spring. There are a few other surprises up my sleeve, but I can't get into them just yet. I promise I will soon though!

Oh, and one last thing...

Kidding... or am I?

She would like to get to know him as more than a friend but she's afraid he won't be interested and she'll have to go elsewhere for her after work drink.

When Skylar asks Haley to pretend to be his girlfriend for a night, she is more than happy to oblige. She finally has the chance to make something happen without risking anything. But pretending proves to be more difficult than she thought. She's not sure she can resist the pull any longer with her feelings growing stronger, and it seems like Skylar is feeling the same way.

At the end of the night, will they be willing to turn a fake relationship into a real one?

“It would be kind of hard for your friends to believe we're dating if we didn't kiss.”

He stares off at nothing, obviously deep in thought. “That's very true.” He turns to me quickly, a serious look on his face. “It would appear very awkward if we kiss for the first time tomorrow.”

My eyes widen. Is he saying what I think he's saying? My heart thumps wildly. “What are you suggesting?”

“If we were to kiss tomorrow without kissing before, it would be obvious we never have.”

“And they would get suspicious.”

“Exactly.” His gaze is unwavering on mine.

I shift closer to him, tilting my head. Whispering, I ask, “Are you asking for permission to kiss me now?”

He whispers back, “Yes.”
